How Ohio's "Stay at Home" Order Affects EMS
While we have offices and agents across the country, our corporate headquarters is located in Cleveland, Ohio. On March 22nd, our governor and his team issued a "Stay at Home" order for all Ohioans, in an attempt to slow the spread of this virus in our state. The order makes exceptions for businesses that are deemed essential by the Department of Homeland Security.
As a Financial Services provider, EMS is considered an essential business. Therefore, we will be continuing operations under this order along with many other essential businesses in our state. Know that we will continue to provide all the services and 24/7/365 world-class support you depend on, even as we transition many of our employees to work from home during these troubling times.
Our Advice to You
We are all in this together. Now is the time to follow the facts, practice good judgement, and be kind to one another. To stay updated about the spread of COVID-19, we recommend visiting reliable sources such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO). These organizations provide the most updated information related to all major health concerns and frequently share steps to help prevent illness.
We also encourage you to practice social distancing, avoid discretionary travel, and practice healthy habits to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Wash your hands often for at least 20 seconds, avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth, and disinfect high-touch surfaces frequently. Most importantly, stay home if you feel ill or are exhibiting any symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath.
