Electronic Merchant Systems, an industry-leader in payment processing, is proud to join the support of “Movember” and the Movember Foundation with its second-annual Swipe Out Cancer initiative.
November or “Movember,” is a key month for the Movember Foundation’s awareness campaign to help tackle prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention. Mo Bros – men growing out their mustaches – are encouraged to grow their mustaches throughout the month of November to raise awareness to the issues that affect men’s health. Mo Ladies – the women who support their mo bros – are encouraged to support, and help raise awareness to the various causes supported by the Movember Foundation.
The Movember Foundation, founded in 2003, has grown to be a global advocate in the discussion regarding men’s health issues, by successfully funding over 1,200 projects in 21 countries around the world. Founded on fun, innovation, and driving change, the Movember Foundation challenges the status quo to help drive significant outcomes in providing funding for cancer research.
Since its foundation in 1988, Electronic Merchant Systems has placed a focus on giving back to important causes that foster community, charitable partnerships, and help nourish youth development within the Cleveland community. By supporting Movember, and the Movember Foundation, EMS is once again making a positive, lasting impact on the community by helping raise awareness to the issues affecting men’s health. Last year, EMS raised over $2,000 in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation through the generous contributions from their employees; EMS matched their employees’ contribution in full.
As the month of November progresses, continuous updates on the Swipe Out Cancer #Movember fundraiser will be available on emscares.org.
